PW Covington writes in the Beat tradition and legacy of the North American highway.
A Pushcart and Best of the Net nominee, he has been invited to share his work at The Beat Museum in San Francisco, at the Havana International Poetry Festival in Cuba, and at the Shivastan Poetry Ashram in Woodstock, NY. In 2019 his collection North Beach and Other Stories was named a Finalist in LGBTQ Fiction by the International Book Awards. His latest is Malepoet by Gnashing Teeth Publications.
Covington has lived in Albuquerque's International District since spring of 2017 and has worked in various capacities on a variety of major television and film projects, including "The Cleaning Lady" and "Better Call Saul". He is a 100% Service Connected Disabled Veteran and a convicted felon.

Basic Human Needs Award-winning poet, Don McIver is a six time member of the Albuquerque slam team as a poet and a coach, an award-winning host/producer of KUNM’s Spoken Word Hour and Afternoon Freeform, the author of The Noisy Pen and The Blank Page, and editor of A Bigger Boat: The Unlikely Success of the Albuquerque Poetry Slam Scene. He’s performed all over the United States, produced, curated, and hosted poetry events big and small including the Bravos Award Winning 2005 National Poetry Slam, and been published in numerous magazines and anthologies including Harwood Anthology, Shine On You Crazy Diamond: Poems by Teens and their Mentors, Earthships: A New Mecca Poetry Anthology, Poems from the Big Muddy: NPS 2004, Looking Back to Place, and How to....Multiple Perspectives on Creating a Garden, a Life, Relationships and Community and Fixed and Free Poetry Anthology. He's also Albuquerque’s Sunday Chatter's Poet Wrangler.
